ROGER WHYTE,Chairman of CEPA 2014

Dear Roger,

I am proud that you are the Chairman of CEPA, your wisdom and your experience make this venture even more exciting. I thank you for it and I think that all our ideas will come true this year and we will help with our organisation to 1000 of people in the industry in CEE. I am puzzled by the interest for our EXPO held on 19th and 20th of november 2014 at the Prague Castle.

Departures Europe, July 2014

This month’s 68,048 business aviation flight departures mark a 2.7% YOY decline, with July 11% below its 2008 peak and in fact the least active July on record since 2005.

There were regional growth spots, including the UK, the Baltic states and Iberia. Also summer activity out of Greece peaked at more than 17% last year’s activity.

Know your body

  • When a pregnant woman suffers organ damage (such as a heart attack), the fetus sends stem cells to the damaged organ to help repair it. And women who have previously been pregnant show neurological protection against certain diseases.
  • With the 60,000 miles of blood vessels inside the average human body, you could circumnavigate Earth two and a half times.
  • The human eye is so sensitive that if the Earth were flat, you could spot a candle flickering at night from up to 30 miles away.
  • Nerve impulses travel to and from the brain at speeds of up to 250 miles per hour, faster than a Formula 1 racecar.
  • When you blush, the lining of your stomach blushes too.
  • The human brain can read up to 1,000 words per minute.
  • Inside your belly button are thousands of bacteria that form an ecosystem the size of an entire rainforest.
  • When in love, the human brain releases the same cocktail of neurotransmitters and hormones that are released by amphetamines. This leads to increased heart rate, loss of appetite and sleep, and intense feelings of excitement.
  • You can see ultraviolet light, the ability is just filtered out by the eye’s lens. Some people have undergone surgery to remove the lense and can detect ultraviolet light.
  • An adult is made up of 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (7 octillion) atoms. For perspective, there’s a ‘measly’ 300,000,000,000 (300 billion) stars in our galaxy.
  • Our muscles are actually incredibly more powerful than they appear to be. Human strength is limited to protect our tendons and muscles from harming themselves. This limitation can be removed during an adrenaline rush, during which some people have lifted boulders or even cars off themselves

And now after the science part, something that does not let take our body sooooo serious.

For all fighters against weight, breadbasketrefuser and yoganerds, this is the solution

CEPA to cover market impact of Eastern Ukraine unrest at CEPA EXPO 2014

As the unrest in Eastern Ukraine has unfolded and its effects are felt across the whole of Europe, the topics covered at the event will reflect this Russian and Ukrainian situation and its impact on aviation business in the CEE.

This year, as with every year, there is a packed and relevant programme planned for delegates of CEPA EXPO. There will be a full assessment of the CEE market by experts and a dedicated session on the business implications of the Russian and Ukrainian situation. The ramifications of the unrest reach far and wide so we will have bankers, lawyers, OEMs and operators represented who will be able to give up-to-minute information on developments within their business areas.

We have previously reported statistics on the growing wealth within the Ukraine and the impact of Russia on the CEE aviation market, so it is important we discuss what effects recent events are having on this. It is the role of CEPA and the EXPO to continue to help organisations understand current conditions as well as how to navigate within them. Taking advantage of our local knowledge we can help companies to work through difficulties they may be facing doing business in the region.
